So let me begin by saying this, I go to Vegas at least twice a year. Some people would say that’s too much but honestly, I don’t care. I love Vegas and there is so much to see and do. This post will be a collection of all my trip experiences to help you have the best time and save money while there. I will give you some opinions and a few may be biased but at the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you! Your trip your way but I hope I can make it even better!!!

My first trip to Vegas was supposed to be a girls trip but everyone canceled at the last minute so I went by my lonesome. I decided to make this the best solo trip I have ever gone on because in all actuality it kinda was. Every trip I have ever taken I was either going with someone or going where I knew people. So I was never really solo even if I occasionally went and did some things by myself. Vegas was my first! Before I left for vacation I made sure I did my research and from there I narrowed down what I wanted to do on this trip because I knew it wouldn’t be my last. I just didn’t know I would be back this much. Ok, let me stay on track.

I went to Groupon because they have deals on everything. One of the promotions that jumped at me was $25 off of a smartdestinations.com bundle package to do multiple things. So I clicked on the promotion and I found some great deals. I knew I was going to be in Vegas for seven days and wanted to make sure it was time well spent. I got a great deal because I own a timeshare but what I shouldn’t have done was rent a car. You only rent a car if you plan to go to places outside of the strip or otherwise it is a waste of money!

I decided that the bulk of my adventures and activities would be covered through smartdestinations.com and everything else would be at my leisure. The package I got allowed me to do seven things for $125. A meal worth $25 from Planet Hollywood, tour of Hoover Dam, 1 hour all you can drink (select beverages) at Senor Frog with a discount on food, Marvel Avengers Station (I loved it but I also love Marvel), Madame Tussauds, Stratosphere Observation Deck, and the Paris Eiffel Tower Observation Deck.

The Hoover Dam tour included drop off and pick up from my hotel, a morning snack, chartered bus to and from location, and a trip to Lake Mead with a very good driver! To round out my trip I did a timeshare presentation tour. Although I already have one they want to try and get you to sell and buy theirs. One in order to do the tour I had to pay $99 upfront to secure my time for the tour. This is down to help them to ensure you will actually show up because you get $100 back via a Visa debit card. With the money-back I got tickets to see the Hitsville Musical at the V Theater with a meal, and tickets to come back within 18 months with a 4 day 3-night stay ($99 was paid that I got back when I did the tour on my return).

I went to see MJ Live at the Stratosphere and bought my tickets online on Groupon. I promise you Groupon should be one of your best friends. If you don’t travel with anyone else you should travel with Groupon. LOL, I must say that the show was good and it has me looking forward to Cirque De Soleil MJ One. I will see it one day! Believe it or not, I didn’t do any shopping! I know right!!!! I didn’t go shopping for the first time until recently and I don’t know if you would call it shopping. I bought a pair of Ugg flip flops and a Louis Vuitton City Guide book.

After my fifth trip to Vegas, I finally went with two of my friends. I was so apprehensive and I guess you can nervous. I had never gone on a trip with them and this was a first. I had gotten used to coming and going as I pleased. So, to make it easier on all of us we talked about our expectations and habits when we began planning the trip. It ended up working out. They were not clingy and we all were able to do things together and separately. We went to the High Roller at The LINQ (beautiful 360-degree view of Vegas), Freemont Street (at night it is not a place for kids), and toured the Grand Canyon.

Let me tell you about Grand Canyon, I found a deal for $88 on Groupon. It included transportation to and from our hotel, breakfast snack, all you can eat lunch, Grand Canyon tour with an additional stop to view from a different angle (this place had a restaurant and gift shop) then we stopped back at the restaurant (Rodeo Restaurant Buffet and Sports Bar) were we had lunch and I bought one of the best steak dinners for $14. I was in my feelings at first because they made it wrong and I had to watch everyone around me eat until my new steak was ready. When I tell you it was worth the wait, it was worth the wait. No steak sauce needed at all!!!
